Comprehensive Keyword Research  

Identifying the words Amazon customers search to find and purchase products is at the heart of selling on Amazon. We use a sophisticated process for identifying targeted keywords to allow your products to be indexed and searchable by the Amazon search algorithm as well as for Amazon Marketing Services campaigns using proprietary software, competitor research, and customer surveys.

Goat Consulting looks at immediate competitors, top performing products in the category and other similar products to study revenue, copy and reviews on how consumers shop on Amazon. Using analytic software we research which keywords are searched most frequently, which rate they convert to purchase and how much they cost to advertise. We rank the keywords based on how relevant the keywords are for your products.  

We run customer surveys to inquire about product description elements asking questions like, "What would you search to find this product on Amazon?"; "What do you call this product?"; and "How much would you pay for a product like this?". 

We repeat this process every month for our clients. The continuously updated keyword bank ensures that our clients products are always positioned correctly in the Amazon marketplace.

Product Listing Copywriting

The goal of the product listing copywriting is to make your product more discoverable as well as improving the conversion rate for purchases. We use the information gathered from keyword research to write our clients product detail page content (title, bullet point, product description, back-end keywords). It’s important that the content both communicates the product value and is integrated with keywords that customers use to search for the product. We write all of our content in house using our best practice knowledge of the Amazon algorithm. If the client is just getting started on Amazon we’ll write the all content from scratch. If the client is already selling on Amazon, we’ll look at their current content and rewrite and optimize content as needed.

Once we complete the calibration phase and advertising and marketing set up we’ll turn our attention toward any additional brand content that is available to the client. We will create A+ content, Storefront and Brand Page for products and the brand.

Amazon Marketing Services and Campaign Management  

After we update your product listings we turn our focus towards advertising through Amazon Marketing Services by running sponsored products (campaign manager), headline searches, and product display ads.

When we set up the architecture of our clients advertising campaigns, we perform 2-week calibration period where we run campaigns at low budgets to measure the cost per click economics of our clients products.

Client advertising strategy is continually adjusted throughout the year as the traffic level and seasonality changes on Amazon during the retail season. On a continuous basis, we add and subtract keywords, increase/decrease keyword bid pricing, increase/decrease campaign budget, pause/enable advertised products on SKU level, and adjust campaign types to better target Amazon customers.

We provide a monthly strategy report which details key performance metrics, outlines our current strategy and the tasks performed by Goat Consulting, and action steps for the next month

Our strategic report presents our client’s Amazon channel’s performance and strategy simply and offers key insights. This helps paint a clear picture of the accounts health and informs efficient key decisions as our client’s accounts grow and develop.
